Solar Panel Cleaning
Purified-water cleaning for soiled solar panels, with the cleaning method and access assessed for your installation. Ask us about removing surface dirt and bird fouling without promises of a particular generation increase.
Professional Solar Panel Cleaning Across North Somerset & North East Somerset
Top Glass offers solar panel cleaning across North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset using purified water and soft brushes. Bird droppings, pollen and dust can soil the panel surface, but the effect on generation differs between installations. We assess the cleaning method and access, taking account of available manufacturer guidance. Cleaning does not diagnose electrical faults, guarantee an output increase or replace maintenance by a qualified solar installer.
- Purified water — no chemicals or residue
- Soft brushes rather than abrasive pads
- Surface dirt and bird fouling addressed
- Manufacturer cleaning guidance considered
- Before-and-after cleaning photographs
- Access assessed for the individual installation
- Cleaning frequency discussed according to soiling
- Residential and commercial arrays covered
Assess soiling without promising an output increase
Bird droppings, dust and pollen can soil panel surfaces. The effect on generation varies with the installation, weather, shading and other factors, so a cleaning quotation should not promise a percentage gain or a payback period. If output has fallen unexpectedly, a qualified installer may need to investigate electrical or system issues rather than assuming dirt is the cause.
Enquire about cleaning your solar-panel installationManufacturer instructions and safe access come first
Provide the panel manufacturer or cleaning guidance if available, along with the array location and any known damage. Access must be assessed for your roof and surrounding space. Do not climb onto the roof or handle electrical components to prepare for cleaning. Any isolation procedure should follow the manufacturer or installer instructions, not generic advice.

Post-clean report
We document the clean and share before/after photos. We'll also advise on any panels showing signs of damage or shading issues.
What Affects the Price?
Every property is different. These are the main factors we consider when putting together your quote.
Number of panels
We price by the number of panels in the array. A typical domestic installation of 8–12 panels costs less than a larger array of 16 or more.
Roof pitch & access
Panels on a steep roof pitch or with difficult access take longer to clean safely, which is reflected in the quote.
Bird fouling
Panels with heavy bird droppings require additional attention and time compared with panels with light dust or pollen accumulation.
Cleaning schedule
Customers who book annual or biannual scheduled cleans receive preferential pricing compared with one-off reactive bookings.
