Conservatory Roof Cleaning

Professional conservatory roof cleaning involves the thorough and careful cleaning of the roof of a conservatory, which is typically made of glass or polycarbonate panels. Over time, conservatory roofs can accumulate dirt, grime, algae, moss, and other debris that not only affect the appearance but also compromise the performance of the roof by reducing the amount of sunlight that can enter the space.

Here's a step-by-step overview of the process involved in our professional conservatory roof cleaning:

1. Assessment:

A professional cleaning service will start by assessing the condition of the conservatory roof. They will determine the extent of dirt, algae growth, and any potential issues that need special attention.

2. Clearance:

Before starting the cleaning process, any loose debris like leaves, twigs, and larger dirt particles are carefully removed from the roof to prevent them from scratching the surface during cleaning.

3. Preparation:

The area surrounding the conservatory is often cordoned off to protect plants, furniture, and other items from water and cleaning agents.

4. Cleaning Solution:

A suitable cleaning solution is chosen based on the type of material the conservatory roof is made of and the nature of the stains. This solution is usually a mild detergent mixed with water, specifically formulated for conservatory cleaning.

5. Application:

The cleaning solution is evenly applied to the roof's surface. Care is taken to avoid excess solution dripping onto the framework or other parts of the conservatory.

6. Scrubbing:

Depending on the level of dirt and stains, a soft brush or a soft cloth might be used to gently scrub away algae, moss, and grime. Care is taken to avoid scratching the surface, especially if it's glass.

7. Rinsing:

The roof is thoroughly rinsed with clean water to remove the cleaning solution and dislodged dirt. This step might involve the use of low-pressure hoses to avoid damaging the roof.

8. Finishing Touches:

After the cleaning process is complete, the conservatory's framework and surrounding areas are wiped down to remove any water or cleaning solution that may have splashed onto them.

Inspection: The conservatory roof is inspected to ensure that it has been thoroughly cleaned and that no streaks, water spots, or residue remain.

  • WHAT IS PURE WATER CLEANING?
The term Pure Water in window cleaning describes ordinary tap water that has been filtered through a purification system, to remove all the natural minerals. This water is often described as ‘deionised water’ due to the type of filtration used. The reason for this is that pure water dries to leave a completely crystal clear finish. At Top Glass we use pure water as it is a much cleaner and efficient way of cleaning windows and leaves your windows sparkling for longer!
